My wife makes the BEST blueberry MUFFINS in the world. I love them. I also Love Biscuits. and buttermilk. I have been wondering how a blueberry Buttermilk biscuit would taste, so I just made me up a batch tonight. I just took my standard buttermilk Biscuit recipe and added a cup of frozen blueberrys.

At a glance:

2 1/4 C. Bisquick Mix
2/3 C. Buttermilk
1 tsp. Sugar
1 Tbsp. Butter, melted


Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix first three ingredients together, add 1 Tbsp. of the melted butter into batter. Stir ingredients untill it looks prickley. Drop them into your drop Biscuit pan and cook away for bout’ 10 minutes. To make like Popeye’s Biscuits, or KFC Biscuits prepare the same way, but brush melted butter when they are placed in the oven, and when you take the biscuits out of the oven.

I am a die hard Drop Biscuit fan. why anyone would roll out, and knead all that dough, I’ll never know. you can do it twice as fast and it tase the same, “Droppin” (plus, bisquick is a great help!). the Cracker Barrel
has great cast iron cookwear. Thats were I bought my Drop Biscuit skillett at, and brother was it worth the money! Anyway, the verdicts still out on the Biscuits. I think they need a bit (alot) more sugar or somethin. If one of ya’ll has a recipe or knows bout’ blueberry biscuits, let me know.
